MILO MEACHAM / ARCHITECT
Milo L. Meacham, AIA, NCARB, LEEDAP
Milo L. Meacham, AIA is an architect with more than forty years of experience in a wide range of project types and scales ranging from single and multi-family residential (including addition and remodel projects), adaptive re-use and historic preservation projects to large scale mixed-use commercial projects, secure government buildings and public transportation projects.
Having learned the importance of understanding the context of the project and its site while studying architecture at the University of Arizona, Mr. Meacham has incorporated that approach into his professional work. HIs experience includes many years of providing design leadership at large internationally recognized firms including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, John Carl Warnecke & Associates and Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates.
For most of his more than forty years in the profession, in addition to his work with the large architectural firms, Mr. Meacham has maintained his own separate architectural practice founded in 1974, providing design services on residential and small commercial projects for private clients. In 2002, Mr. Meacham left the large firm world to collaborate with Davis Buckley Architects in Washington as a Design Principal while at the same time focusing on the work of his own firm, Milo Meacham / Architect (MM/A). The arrangement with the Buckley firm has allowed Mr. Meacham to devote the hands-on attention to projects not possible in the large firms. In 2012, Mr. Meacham left Washington to return to the West and focus primarily on the work of MM/A with an ongoing role as Consulting Principal to the Buckley firm.
Many of Mr. Meacham's projects for both the large firms and MM/A have garnered the recognition of his peers in the profession through the many design awards his designs have received over the years.
